Volunteer teams and fans warmly welcome athletes.
Kazan is getting ready to host another international sports competition. The Diving Competition of Four Countries will start tomorrow, December 6, at the Aquatics Palace. Over 60 decorated athletes from Germany, Italy, Russia and Ukraine will battle for a spot at the top of the podium.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Rafis Burganov delivered a welcoming speech, saying: “I would like to personally say thank you very much. The next day after we closed the Universiade, Vladimir Alexandrovich and I left first to one championship and then witnessed two more championships, and then competitions of a lower level, followed by the World Combat Games. Of course, we haven’t seen anything similar to what we did. Everywhere everyone, especially foreigners, recalled the Universiade, and they came to judge at those competitions wearing suits that had been provided to them here. And we still feel their gratitude.”
Now, apart from the outfit of volunteers, staff and other client groups, granted to the museum previously, people can see a Torchbearer uniform and one of the torches used during the Torch Relay of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
True sports battles will take place among the renowned divers from Russia, Ukraine, Italy and Germany at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan. On 6, 7 and 8 December, the strongest athletes will compete for medals in 3m springboard and 10m platform, individuals and synchronized diving, at the traditional Match of 4 Countries.
30 November will be the last day to submit applications for the contest for design of the mascot for the 16th FINA World Championships that will be held in Kazan from 24 July to 9 August 2015. Recall that the contest winners will be awarded with a pass for the entire sports programme of the forthcoming competitions.
